Alto saxophonist Viktor Toth's debut album was released in 2007 by BMC Records entitled 'Climbing with Mountains', which brought him critical acclaim in and out of Hungary. One of his musician partners on this record was legendary American percussionist Hamid Drake, who collaborated in numerous projects by jazz greats Archie Shepp and William Parker. His next outing 'Tartim' came two years later hiring his local 'hero' Mihály Dresch.
His most recent work, recorded with his Arura trio was released also by the BMC label, featuring Miklós Lukács on cimbalom and György Orbán on double bass. This core working band, his 'Tercett' and touring with renowned Polish jazz trumpeter Piotr Wojtasik fill his busy schedule.

Béla Lattmann - 2017.01.27.

On our first Piano-Forte evening Viktor's first guest is going to be renowned bass guitarist Béla Lattmann. Béla graduated from Bartók Conservatory on double bass, later switched to bass guitar. Since 1989 he has taught at the same school (now Liszt University) passing on his expertise to several generations of bass guitarists. During his career spanning over more than three decades he has played alongside jazz heavyweights Attila László or Tony Lakatos, but also has been featured in the touring bands of Hungarian pop icons Charlie and Zorán.
